My name is Lori Taylor and I am passionate about walking with people in the wilderness. In 2016, after many years of dreaming, preparing, and staying home to raise kids, I was finally able to see my long-time vision become a reality when we moved to North Carolina and started Mountain Treks, LLC. At Mountain Treks, we create custom outdoor experiences for individuals or groups seeking adventure, spiritual renewal, and personal challenge. This is a ministry of spiritual formation using the wilderness as a classroom, challenging people to explore their relationship with God, themselves and others through the avenue of adventure.
I have spent many hours in the woods as well as the traditional classroom. I’m a graduate of the NOLS Outdoor Educator training, have my Wilderness First Responder certification, and am also a Leave No Trace Master Educator. I’m a graduate of Colorado Christian University (BA), Fuller Seminary (MAT) and Azusa Pacific Seminary (DMIN). I’m married to Chip Taylor and have two teenagers - Leah and Caleb. When I’m not preparing for, leading or cleaning up from wilderness adventures, I also teach Bible courses online for Warner University (Lake Wales, FL) and coach High School Girls Basketball. My simple pleasures? Coffee, reading and spending time doing anything with my amazing husband and kids.
