The mission of the Intern Academy is to build a pipeline of leaders through a network of ministry internships.
The Strategic Director works closely with the Executive Director and will oversee our strategy to develop leaders and multiply the Intern Academy model.
What you'll do
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Walk with Jesus
Maintain a vibrant and growing walk with Jesus that sets an example for those we serve and lead.
Align
Align all activities with the mission and values of the Intern Academy.
Inspire
Inspire the culture of the Intern Academy, helping the Ministry Team and Coaches realize their role in God's story by using their gifts to further the mission.
Equip
Encourage and equip Coaches for effective training of interns and maximizing the network.
Improve
Improve our teams by building healthy and effective strategies.
Simplify
Take what is working and turn it into repeatable frameworks others can use.
Partner
Work alongside the Executive Director to strengthen partnerships, investor relations, and placement of grads in ministry positions.
Serve
Complete additional ministry duties as assigned.
Who we're looking for
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of ten years working in and leading a ministry
- Minimum of five years recruiting, training, and leading volunteers
- Track record of growing a ministry in participation and spiritual maturity
- Experience managing staff
- Has raised up at least two interns now serving in ministry
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven track record of effective time management
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communicator and relationship builder
- Excellent customer service skills
- Manages multiple projects and tasks at once under time constraints
- Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated
- Makes independent decisions and works with minimal supervision

Salary & Benefits
Base salary, adjusted for experience, education, and location.

- Status
- Full-time, reporting to the Executive Director
Additional projects and responsibilities may be requested by the Board or the Executive Director as they deem necessary.
Job descriptions at Intern Academy are fluid. This one represents the minimum expectations for the tasks and areas you may be working in. We work as a team, and there are numerous other tasks that will require the participation of the person in this position.
